LoginA little bit of embroidery elevates a simple wool scarf into something special. Weave, embroider, fringe, and wear for a drapey accessory, or gently felt the scarf for a more windproof wrap.
Embroidering the elegant designs on these scarves in two passes creates solid lines reminiscent of tapestry weaving. In the felted version, the stripes blend with the background fabric. On the un-felted version, they remain a bit apart.
About: Deborah Bagley has been a crochet and weaving designer since 2011. A former elementary and middle school teacher, she enjoys teaching her two young sons and mountain biking with her family.
