LoginShow off your favorite hand-painted skein with a simple log cabin pattern. Choose a variegated yarn with fairly consistent value and pair it with a highly contrasting solid. Resist the urge to match them, or the pattern will disappear.
You can create added visual interest in the log cabin weave structure by using one solid and one variegated yarn. This creates beautiful color changes while still keeping the integrity of the pattern. Just don’t go overboard and try two variegated yarns: sadly, that will hide the color-and-weave pattern
