LoginA highly textured thick-and-thin yarn gives this plain-weave scarf a texture that calls out to be touched. This sophisticated statement piece will turn heads while it keeps your neck warm.
With the right yarns and some clever weaving, plain weave can go from basic to beguiling. For this scarf, Amy used Bamboo Bloom, a unique thick-and-thin yarn with “blooms” or tufts of thick wool bursting from each strand. The warp incorporates a tonal silver version of this yarn, while the bulk of the scarf is woven in a tonal blue colorway from the Bamboo Bloom Handpaints collection. Set against a dark wool background, pops of color appear like lights dotting city streets at night.
