LoginSmall pin-loom–woven hexagons arranged in a clever pattern create this charming wrap. It has a light and airy hand and is the perfect weight for keeping you cozy on a cool night.
Weaving little 1-inch hexagons is quite satisfying, and it is so easy to collect enough for a big project! Because they are so small, they can be assembled to create detailed and intricate patterns. This shawlette is inspired by those few moments during a coastal sunset when the sun has fallen behind the horizon and residual indirect light dominates the skyline. Joining only two sides and the ends of the hexagons creates a lacy fabric that is perfect for wearing out on a cool evening walk on the coast during this perfect time of night, which is often called “the golden hour” or “the magic hour.”
