LoginWeave and watch the stripes come to life as you work. The self-striping knitting yarn used as weft contrasts beautifully with the black warp in this 3/1 lace pick-up pattern.
The portability of rigid-heddle looms inspired Sharlet to try learning new-to-her weaving techniques when her work-travel schedule kept her away from home for weeks at a time. On her multishaft looms, she enjoys weaving lace, so the chapter on pick-up in Jane Patrick’s The Weaver’s Idea Book became her inspiration and guide to weaving 3/1 lace using a pick-up stick on her rigid-heddle loom. This is an easy-to-remember, repetitive pattern and coupled with the merino yarn, produces a wonderful, soft and lovely scarf.
