LoginStay extra warm in winter with this sumptuously soft scarf woven in a rainbow of wool. Pick-up patterns take it from simple to simply stunning.
A captivating image of sun glittering on the surface of Lake Tahoe inspired this double-sided scarf. You might think that there are limited design possibilities on a rigid-heddle loom, but pick-up techniques provide control over each individual warp thread and increase design capabilities. The design for this scarf expands on the deflected-warp sample in Jane Patrick’s Weaver’s Idea Book. Pick-up creates weft floats on the face of the fabric and multicolor warp floats on the back, making the cloth reversible.
