LoginTweed and log-cabin weave are made for each other. This plain-weave wool scarf will keep you warm on chilly nights while displaying your classic style.
Seeing my sheer desperation to buy yarn—some or any—to take home with me, my daughter suggested we pay a visit to Peter Jones’s haberdashery section on the very last day of my stay in London. Haber what? I was not familiar with the word that sounded charmingly British. Quite similar to Walmart’s craft and notions section, the haberdashery section in Peter Jones (an upscale, multilevel department store in Belgravia) had a small wool display area carrying mostly baby wool and knitting accessories. Surprisingly, one wall entirely showcased Rowan’s Felted Tweed in many colors. And that’s what I decided to buy to weave a simple, elegant, and tweedy scarf on my rigid-heddle loom.
