Back in February at Weave Together, I was lucky enough to take a tablet-woven shoelace class with John Mullarkey. Before that point, I’d never warped an inkle loom, much less warped one with weaving tablets. By the end of the day-long class I was absolutely hooked on tablet weaving and have spent the past few months exploring my newfound obsession.

I started out with weaving threaded-in patterns and soon moved to more complicated drafts. I haven’t done too much to play with color yet, but I have experimented with adding iridescent filaments to my weaving for just a hint of sparkle here and there. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of tablet weaving. So naturally, I jumped at the chance when somebody suggested putting together an All Access Subscriber eBook featuring tablet-weaving projects. (Not an All Access Subscriber? Read about the program here!) And thus Tablet-Woven Treasures: 5 Tablet Designs to Weave was born.

In Tablet-Woven Treasures, you’ll find projects for tablet weavers of all levels, including the very first project I ever wove, John Mullarkey’s Astounding Laces—a perfect intro-level project, if I do say so myself. The other four projects range from beginner friendly to advanced, so you can weave your way through the eBook to build your skills. Four of these projects were sourced from the pages of past Little Looms issues while the fifth is a favorite from our sister publication, Handwoven.

Whether you are a seasoned tablet weaver looking for more projects or a newbie looking for something appropriately entry-level, I hope you find what you’re looking for in this eBook. I know I was inspired to warp up my inkle loom as I was putting it together. After all, the holidays are coming up, and who wouldn’t want a set of tablet-woven shoelaces for Christmas?

Happy Weaving!
