I think I speak for many pin-loom weavers when I say the last row on a 3-pin style loom is the worst to weave. Sometimes the tension gets so tight you end up fighting for every over-under, knocking loops off of pins as you go. Sometimes you miss the row completely and only find out when the square starts to ravel as you take it off the loom. That's all with normal yarns—weaving with highly textured yarns adds a whole new layer of pain to the experience. However, what if I told you that there’s a way to weave that final row in mere seconds? Believe it or not, it's not just possible; it's really easy!
I no longer fear the final row of the pin loom thanks to Angela Tong, who is here, at least in video form, to help with not one, but two brilliant methods to help you weave the last row even more easily than the first. I’m personally obsessed with Angela's method for using a placeholder made of floss to allow you to weave your last row in seconds—it's brilliant and you won't believe how easy it is!

Are you ready for more?
If you enjoyed these tips, Angela's new video course has more tips and tricks and will help you build your pin-loom skills as you learn to create textures and patterns that go beyond plain weave. Once you have the basics, you’ll see how learning to read and weave patterns can help you create textural pieces that look like fabric—whole fabric—and not just little squares. Plus, you’ll get more tips to improve your weaving technique, including mastering tension—something I know I still struggle with!
There’s so much to learn and love in this video! Even though I’ve been reading and weaving pin-loom patterns for a while, Angela’s tips have helped me to become a better, more efficient pin-loom weaver. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Happy Weaving!
