Textured Weaves

Many weave structures and techniques can fall under the heading of textured weave. Just as with color-and-weave, textured-weave projects can be combined with other techniques and structures to create even more complex cloth. For this particular skill builder, we’re focusing on just two—waffle weave and 3/1 lace. Both of these techniques use pick-up to create a highly textured cloth, and both can be woven at the same warp sett as plain weave. However, they do have some key differences.
